Let's find some water!

Summer is here, so let's go and explore some amazing spots to find water in and around Sedona, Arizona.

First on our water adventure is Slide Rock State Park. Located just north of uptown Sedona on 89A this is one of the most popular places to make a splash during the summer. It can get crowded and often times during peak times (weekends and holidays) there can be a line to get in. They don't allow you to walk in, you must drive in and park.

Right down the way from Slide Rock is another awesome spot to cool off called Grasshopper Point. This is a great place to picnic and splash around and offers more shaded area than Slide Rock. It's a little rocky, so swim shoes are helpful. Bring a tube or raft to float around!

Crescent Moon Ranch is another great option with open grass, picnic tables, restrooms, and beach type river access. If you walk along the river you will come to Buddha Beach and fantastic views of Cathedral Rock.

If you're the adventuring type, check out The Crack at Wet Beaver Creek (yes, you read that right!) This is a 7 mile out and back trail along Wet Beaver Creek just south of Sedona that leads to an epic swimming hole with plenty of areas to jump in and explore.
