Frequently Asked Questions | Stargazer Vacation Rentals

Question 1

Do you offer a 1-bedroom option for some 2-bedroom homes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For select homes (including our Dark Sky Home and Sedona Home), we offer a discounted 1-bedroom option by locking the second bedroom. You still have full access to the main living spaces and outdoor amenities included with your reservation.

Question 2

What time is check-in and check-out?

Accepted Answer

Standard check-in is after 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM, unless your reservation details state otherwise. You will receive property-specific instructions before arrival.

Question 3

Do you offer early check-in?

Accepted Answer

If an early check-in is available, we’ll confirm the day before arrival once the cleaning schedule is set. When we can accommodate it, it’s typically complimentary.

Question 4

Do you offer late check-out?

Accepted Answer

Yes—late check-out is available for $100 (when scheduling allows) and extends your stay until 5:00 PM. Availability depends on same-day turnovers.

Question 5

Is it better to book direct or through Airbnb/VRBO?

Accepted Answer

Booking direct is a great way to avoid platform service fees and communicate directly with your hosts. You’ll always see the full price and availability before confirming.

Question 6

Are your homes in Sedona?

Accepted Answer

Some of our homes are in Sedona and others are in Cornville/Verde Valley, just minutes from Sedona. Cornville is ideal for a quieter stay while staying close to hiking, wineries, and town.

Question 7

How far are you from Sedona?

Accepted Answer

Most Cornville properties are approximately 15–25 minutes from Sedona, depending on where you’re headed (West Sedona, Uptown, trailheads, etc.).

Question 8

Are pools and hot tubs private or shared?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the property. Many homes have private hot tubs; some properties include shared amenities such as a pool. Each listing clearly states what is private vs. shared.

Question 9

Are you dog-friendly?

Accepted Answer

Many of our homes are dog-friendly. Each listing specifies whether dogs are allowed and any related rules or fees.

Question 10

Do you allow cats or other animals?

Accepted Answer

Unless a listing explicitly states otherwise, we only allow dogs at pet-friendly properties.

Question 11

Do you allow same-day bookings?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we often accept same-day bookings depending on cleaning schedules and availability. If you’re booking last-minute, please keep an eye on check-in instructions and arrival timing.

Question 12

Do you provide local recommendations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We’re local hosts and share hiking ideas, winery recommendations, restaurants, and low-crowd itinerary tips so you can experience the area like a local.

Question 13

Do you offer wine tours, off-road rentals, or in-home massage?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We partner with trusted local businesses for wine tours, off-road vehicle delivery rentals, and in-home massage options. We share partner details before your trip.
